OWGR #3 RORY MCILROY COMMITS • WILL BE JOINED BY FOUR MORE TOP TEN PLAYERS

Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa, Xander Schauffele, and Will Zalatoris will be competing at the 55th event April 10-16, 2023. They will be joined by defending champion Jordan Spieth and Team RBC ambassadors Sam Burns, Corey Conners, Sahith Theegala and Cameron Young.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (Thursday, March 16, 2023) – At the heart of the Heritage Classic Foundation is a history of philanthropy that expands far beyond golf. The 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization and host to South Carolina’s annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, announced Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa, Xander Schauffele, and Will Zalatoris will be competing at the 55th event April 10-16, 2023. They will be joined by defending champion Jordan Spieth and Team RBC ambassadors Sam Burns, Corey Conners, Sahith Theegala and Cameron Young.

Rory McIlroy is currently ranked #3 on the Official World Golf Rankings and has 23 career wins on the PGA TOUR including the U.S. Open, PGA Championship and The Open Championship. The 33-year-old’s most recent win came as he successfully defended his title at the 2022 CJ Cup held at nearby Congaree Golf Club. The Northern Irishman has competed at Harbour Town two times, the first in 2009 when he was just 20 years old and then in 2020, during the COVID-19 shortened season.

Patrick Cantlay is currently ranked #4 on the Official World Golf Rankings and is always one to watch at the RBC Heritage. In 2022, he lost to Jordan Spieth in a play-off and has three additional top ten finishes in five starts at Harbour Town. The UCLA graduate has carded eight wins on the PGA TOUR including four in 2021, earning him the FedExCup title and the Jack Nicklaus Award as PGA TOUR Player of the Year.

Max Homa has won six times on the PGA TOUR since he became a member in 2014. The California native now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife and newborn baby. He is currently ranked #6 on the Official World Golf Rankings and will be making his second start at Harbour Town. His first was in 2020, when the tournament took place in June due to COVID-19.

Xander Schaufele is currently ranked #7 on the Official World Golf Rankings and has seven career wins and earned a gold medal at the 2020 Olympics. The 29 year-old is from La Jolla, California and attended San Diego State University. He will be competing at the RBC Heritage for the fourth time.

Will Zalatoris is currently ranked #8 on the Official World Golf Rankings and earned his first PGA TOUR victory by defeating Sepp Straka in a three-hole playoff at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship. He competed in three additional play-offs that season, falling to Justin Thomas at the PGA Championship, Matt Fitzpatrick at the US Open and Luke List at the Farmers Insurance Open. The San Francisco native and Wake Forest graduate will be competing at the RBC Heritage for the second time.

The 55th annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing is taking place April 10-16, 2023 over the famed Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island and has been selected by the PGA TOUR as a designated event.

The RBC Heritage is the only annual PGA TOUR event in South Carolina. Played over the Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island since 1969, the event is celebrating its 55th year April 10-16, 2023.
